Meet TarabRaqs—the Mediterranean/American ensemble doing the quintessentially American thing— grabbing ahold of what we love to do and doing it.

Indulge yourself for an evening and experience what is known in the Arab world as "tarab"—the extraordinary emotional state you can reach when you allow yourself to "get into" the music.
We will "escort" you around the Mediterranean musically with classical and folkloric tunes from North Africa, the Middle East and Europe, then lead you to "see" the music with a classical bellydance suite.

Take a magic carpet ride with Jensuya, Bob, Farid, and Guillermo, and experience the centuries-old art known as raks sharki or bellydance.
